Man arrested in Osnaburg Twp for domestic violence, inducing panic, other charges

The Stark County Sheriff's Office arrived at a home in East Canton on Sunday to make an arrest of a local man, but it took extra man power to get him to comply, according to a release from the Stark County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 6000 block of Oakfield Street Northeast in Osnaburg Township in response to a domestic violence incident.

When they arrive, they discovered 55-year-old Gregory E. Weber Sr. inside the home, refusing to exit the residence. The Stark County Sheriff's Office says the Canton Co-Operative SWAT Team was called for assistance after Weber failed to exit the home.

  • Inducing Panic – Misdemeanor of the 1st Degree
  • Resisting Arrest – Misdemeanor of the 2nd Degree
  • Obstructing Official Business – Misdemeanor of the 2nd Degree

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with more information is asked to call the Stark County Sheriff’s Office at 330-430-3800
